Deerhunter Muflon Hat W. Safety

I had worn the hat several times in the hope of encountering a severe cloudburst to test its waterproofness but when it happened I found it to be 100% waterproof. This is a warm hat with a rear flap that can fold down and cover the ears. My hat was a 60/61cm and it fitted perfectly. However, in a strong wind there was a tendency for the hat to lift upwards. Maybe in a future design strings/cords could be attached to keep the hat in place in much the same way as the Tilley hat. I have not used the safety feature, in which the crown of the hat can be converted to a bright orange colour thereby making it visible in darkness. I would probably only use this feature in darkness when near moving traffic.
